  1. The Department of Botany of the college is the first Botany Department established in Guntur.

  1. The Department has some rare plants (Alstonia scholaris, Wrightia tinctoria, Hiptage madablota) along with medicinal (Rawolfia surpentina)and ornamental plants.

  2. Non flowering plants (Volvox, Oedogonium, Marchantia, Anthoceros, Lycopodium, Selaginella)
